Loaner Agent Job Summary:
As a Loaner Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and positive experience for cusrtomers by providing them with temporary replacement vehicles while their vehicles are in for service or repair. Your role will involve coordinating the loaner vehicle process, maintaining the dealerships inventory of loaner vehcles, and assisting customers with paperwork and vehicle inspections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Skills
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Explain the loaner vehicle process and policies to customers.
- Answer inquiries regarding vehicle options, availability, and rental terms.
- Loaner Vehicle Managment
- Maintain an organized inventory of loaner vehicles, ensuring they are clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
- Conduct inspections of loaner vehicles before and after each use to document damage or discrepancies.
- Documentation and Administrative Tasks:
- Prepare rental agreements and other necessary paperwork for customers
- Collect cusrtomer identification, driver's licenses, insurance information, and payment details as required.
- Maintain accurate records of loaner vehicle transactions and customer information.
- Maintain accurate details on vehicle tags and expiration dates.
- Vehicle Maintenance
- Ensure loaner vehicles are regularly serviced and maintained to meet safety and performance standards.
- Coordinate with the service department to address any mechanical or maintenance issues promptly.
- Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, rental agreements, and applicable laws and regulations.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling and inspecting vehicles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training/experience in automotive or customer service is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and maintenance.
- Basic ability to use computers and technology to perform basic job functions
- Stront organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Mobility to move between the dealership service department and the vehicle lot.
Working Conditions:
- The job may involve working indoors at an office or outdoors in various weather conditions.
